Online English to Japanese Converters

There are several online converters available that can quickly and accurately translate English sentences or phrases into Japanese. These converters use advanced algorithms and databases to provide accurate translations. Some popular options include:

  • Google Translation: This widely used online translation tool offers a simple and user-friendly interface. It can translate both individual words and complete sentences from English to Japanese and vice versa.

To test its accuracy, we randomly picked up a business website and see how it works for each tool.

Google Translation has very acculate expressions execpt one sentence "Where others see waste". The translated Japanese is understandable, but natives don't use that expression when it comes to this type of situation.

  • DeepL: Known for its high-quality translations, DeepL uses artificial intelligence to deliver accurate results. It is particularly useful for translating complex sentences or technical texts.

Let's see how DeepL translates the same text as above.

DeepL doesn't have any awkward expressions. It naturally translated where Google Transtion couldn't do well. Also other expressions are a bit more sophisticated than Google Translation. For casual tranlastion, Google is a good choice. For business use, we would recommenc DeepL.

  • YarakuZen: It's a made-in-Japan translator. With this tool, you can register your specific terminologies into the database so that you don't need to fix the same words over and over again

YarakuZen, unfortunately is less accurate than Google. It's still understandable, but readers need to stop and think a bit what those sentences are actually trying to say. It's accuracy might be heavily depending on the customized database.
